This award will celebrate and recognise the outstanding work of newly qualified teachers, that have been teaching for two years or less.

This category seeks to identify youngsters who work to gain a greater understanding of the environment locally or internationally and who try to protect or improve it.
This category looks to recognise achievement in sport but also leadership, courage, determination and an ability to match effort in sport with effort in the classroom.
To recognise voluntary work within the school or community. The judges are looking for the impact and benefits of community work and initiative shown by the individual.
science and engineering award
To recognise achievements of students working on projects or assignments including coursework in a science or engineering related subject.
In this category judges are looking for achievements in a wide range of creative disciplines. They are looking for a high level of achievement and an ability to produce a high end quality product.
The judges are looking for students who have achieved academically, through sport, community work or campaigns in further education.
